The benefits of directory sites like afternoontea.co.uk

Afternoontea.co.uk, the online home of afternoon tea, has reported a 50% rise in bookings in 2014 compared with 2013.

The website, which celebrated its tenth anniversary last year, saw 300,000 covers booked through the site in 2014, generating £7.5m of afternoon tea revenue for the venues they promote.

Sure, it's a directory site. But if you're running a business which could benefit from more afternoon tea sales, there's no reason not to look at getting on here.

The same applies for practically any small business - they'll almost always be a directory worth seeking-out. The benefits include potentially better search rankings, people finding you who would never have otherwise known about you, and, in some cases, full-on leads, bookings or sales.
